July in Grants Pass Oregon

If you find yourself coming through Grants Pass, Oregon on your summer vacation travels, you won’t be disappointed with all the area has to offer. Between attractions and activities, there are many opportunities to explore and have fun.

Here are just a few activities you can enjoy.

Oregon Caves

One of the top attractions in the area is the Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve located in Cave Junction, just a short drive from Grants Pass. It’s such an awesome wonder to take the 90 minute, guided tour 220 feet below the surface of the earth to see this natural wonder. One note though, the tour is a bit physically demanding and reservations are definitely recommended. Visit the Cave’s website for more info.

Hellgate Jetboat Excursions

We’ve mentioned these guys before and they’re worth mentioning again because their Jetboat Tours are really something worth experiencing! They offer scenic Excursions which are wonderful, 2 hour trips through Hellgate Canyon as well as Lunch, and dinner tours that average 4 hours and stop at the Hellgate River Lodge for a delicious meal. Schmidt House Museum

Want a glimpse into the history of the area? Tour the historic Schmidt House in Grants Pass. Tours of the house are available from Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are $10. Address is: 508 SW 5th St, Grants Pass, OR 97526.
